Gongendo―Cherry Trees

Gongendo―Cherry Trees
Three thousand cherry trees were planted on the Gongendo dike in 1920. Gongendo has been known as one of the major cherry blossom viewing spots in the Kanto area since then. In spring, the place has a splendid contrast of the pink cherry blossom and the yellow rape blossom on the dike as if a thick pink line were drawn on a yellow carpet. Visitors can enjoy seasonal flowers in each season as well, such as red spider lilies in autumn and narcissuses in winter.
