Kumagaya Uchiwa Festival (Kumagaya City) This festival is held annually at Yasaka Jinja Shrine from July 20 to 22. Twelve floats parade through the city performing Kumagaya-bayashi, a traditonal style music in Kumagaya. Stores in the city used to hand out "sekihan" (rice cooked with beans) during the festival, but now they hand out "uchiwa" (Japanese fans). Kumagaya City Tourist Association 0485-24-1111
